By downloading, installing, or using ReadBack, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the app.

What ReadBack Is

ReadBack is a text-to-speech app that converts your text into spoken audio. It's designed to be simple, private, and helpful for reading content aloud.

How You Can Use ReadBack

You're free to use ReadBack for any lawful purpose. We don't monitor or restrict how you use the app - that's part of our privacy-first approach.

However, please don't:

• Use the service for anything illegal
• Try to reverse engineer, hack, or break the app
• Attempt to abuse the service in ways that could harm our infrastructure or other users
• Resell or redistribute the service

Your Content

  You own your content - any text you input remains yours

  We don't claim any rights to your text or generated audio

  You're responsible for ensuring you have the right to convert any text you input (respect copyrights, etc.)

Service Availability

• ReadBack is provided "as is" - we'll do our best to keep it running smoothly
• Sometimes the service might be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or technical issues
• We can't guarantee 100% uptime, but we'll work to minimize disruptions

Purchases and Refunds

• All purchases are handled through the Apple App Store
• Refund requests should be directed to Apple through their standard process
• We follow Apple's refund policies and can't process refunds directly

Usage Limits

• Free plan users get a limited number of lifetime tokens
• Paid plan users get a much higher, monthly limit based on their purchase
• These limits help us manage costs and prevent abuse

Changes to the Service

• We may update ReadBack with new features or improvements
• We may need to modify these terms occasionally
• If we make significant changes, we'll update the "Last Updated" date above
• Continued use of the app means you accept any changes

Limitation of Liability

ReadBack is provided "as is" without warranties. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We're not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app
• We're not responsible for any issues with third-party services we use
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app (if anything)

This isn't us being mean - it's standard legal protection for a small independent app.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle (or don't handle) your data.

Termination

• You can stop using ReadBack anytime by deleting the app
• These terms survive termination where it makes sense (like liability limitations)

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
